Small dog found on Pioneer Rd 11/16

Chihuahua Pom mix? About 4 lbs. A real lap dog. Sweet temperament. Found on Pioneer Rd near Booth Rd. May have wandered from Pioneer Acres. No collar. Clean and dry. Must have been out only for a short time on Monday morning. Not familiar to Drs. Liles or Dunn clinics.

Searcy, circa 1955: According to the ad on the back of this postcard, Roberson’s Rendezvous Restaurant in the White County seat of Searcy, was “Duncan Hines Recommended — AAA Approved.” It boasted “Private Dining Rooms, ‘Best Food in the World,’ Free Parking, Air Conditioned, Antiques and Gifts.”

Company participates in statewide cereal drive

Harvey Johnson lowers a large box of assorted cereal into the waiting arms of Gregg Addington. The two Finzer Roller employees were unloading the donations Monday morning at His House as part of a charitable cereal drive. Finzer Roller donated more than 1,000 boxes of cereal during a summer cereal drive.
