Center on the Square, 111 W. Arch Street, Searcy. Tickets are available at Quattlebaum Music, Tangerine Turtle and Center on the Square. Admission is $15 in advance and $18 at the door. White County Medical Center serves as Presenting Sponsor and Henard Utility Products is the Associated Sponsor. Chesapeake Energy continues its season sponsorship of Center on the Square activities.

Cinderella promises to captivate audiences of all ages with period costumes, beautifully performed music, and of course some onstage magic. Although not officially a Land O’Frost Kidstage production, several children from the workshop will be featured.

“’Cinderella’ is a great way to kick off our 10th anniversary season,” says Executive Director Lana Hallmark. “It’s a beautiful story for all ages, and no one is going to want to miss this magical production.”

Cast members include Center on the Square newcomers Cameron Frazier as Prince Charming and Mercedes Yingling as Cinderella. Sally Paine, a long time favorite performer with Center audiences, is featured as the Fairy Godmother, and staff member Mike Woodall tackles the un-conventional role of the Wicked Stepmother.

“The Stepmother is a role often played by a man,” says Woodall, “and though quite a challenge, she’s an awful lot of fun too. I spend way more time getting into hair and makeup than I spend onstage, but it’s definitely worth it.”

Songs from this magical musical include In My Own Little Corner, The Prince is Giving A Ball, Impossible, Ten Minutes Ago and The Stepsister’s Lament. This timeless story of a mistreated heroine, two spiteful stepsisters, a charming prince and a magical fairy godmother will surely leave audiences believing that dreams can in fact come true.
